她一贯保持自己的音乐特色，不随波逐流。作为拥有三座葛莱美的巨星的同时，她又是一个社会工作者。致力于音乐事业的她又积极献身于社会工作。成功举办了两届莉莉丝音乐节为女性避难所筹款700多万美元后，又在新专辑Afterglow发行之际建立了World On Fire的基金会，为亚非的苦难人民筹款。World On Fire是专辑Afterglow中的第二首单曲，Sarah用她发自内心的动人歌喉，以音乐的形式向世界发出呼喊。这支World On Fire的音乐录影带仅仅花费了15美元！录影带中穿插了一系列在亚非的贫困地区拍摄的一幅幅触目惊心的画面。这是一支充满爱的感人歌曲，与Sarah的嗓音柔和而成的动人旋律总是让人心潮澎湃。
